The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating a close call at the Austin airport on Monday evening.Ā An Allegiant jetliner was making a landing when it came too close to a small plane.Ā The FAA says the planes were within one-point-six miles horizontally and 200-feet vertically.Ā The normal vertical clearance is a thousand-feet.Ā It's not clear whether the small plane was landing, taking off, or in the air.Ā The Allegiant Airbus A319 left the Cincinnati area at 7:23 p.m. and landed on time at Austin-Bergstrom International around 8:34 p.m.
